5) Healthy Snack Myths You Still Believe
STOP!
Have you ever bought a snack because
the package said "healthy"...
...only to find out later it wasn't?
You are definitely not alone.
I used to think granola bars were
one of the healthiest snacks you could buy...
Until I flipped one over and read
the nutrition label.
Some contain almost as much added
sugar as a candy bar!
And those fat-free snacks?
They aren't always the healthier
choice.
When manufacturers remove fat, they
often add sugar or refined starches to make the food taste better.
Here's another one...
Smoothies aren't automatically
healthy.
A smoothie made with fruit juice,
flavored yogurt, syrups, and sweeteners can contain hundreds of calories and
lots of added sugar.
A smarter snack?
Choose one with protein and fiber.
Think Greek yogurt with berries...
An apple with peanut butter...
Or a handful of nuts with fresh
fruit.
Those combinations can help keep you
feeling full longer.

you the most?
